Car will not start/Dead Battery? This can be tricky- there are a number of possible reasons why this could happen- we will name a few and how you can identify them. Dead Battery-
Did the car die while you were driving? This is not likely JUST the battery. Cars have alternators which charge the battery. They typically put out more electricity than the car could ever consume, so even if the battery is no good, the alternator should keep the car running if already started. If the car dies while driving it could be a bad alternator and you will need to be towed. A jumpstart in this situation will get you a couple miles at best before it dies again.
Car will not start/dead in the driveway/parking lot- this can be caused by something as simple as having left a light on in the car or the door not being fully closed. We offer on-site battery testing and can send a service vehicle to jumpstart your cars battery.
Other reasons your car may not start may include:
No gas
Bad fuel pump
Bad spark plugs
Corroded wires/chewed by rodent
No/low oil
Our Roadside services are equipped to identify and assist with all of these. A lot of the time it is more advantageous and less damaging to the vehicle to have it shipped to a repair shop for proper inspection and diagnostic testing to ensure no further damage is done. As if your bad day could not get any worse, finding out you have an oil leak after refilling the car with oil only to have it stop working again can cause irreparable or VERY expensive damage to your cars engine.
